James Callahan and Mickael Broth collaborated to create this mural during The New Energy Of Norfolk, or N.E.O.N Festival. N.E.O.N is an arts and culture festival in the arts district of Norfolk, Virginia that, on this occasion, was held October 15th and 16th of 2015.
The mural on Grandby and Stark streets was started a day before the event and finished in it about three days, while the festival took place.
Titled "Widow's Walk", this massive work stretches 22 feet tall and over 100 feet long, and was a collaboration between Broth, Barf Comics, the Rutter Family Art Foundation, editor of the AltDaily publication Jesse Scaccia, and Charles Rasputin, owner of Norfolk-based artist platform Alchemy.
This pen and ink drawing was created for California based Rook Brand for a shirt design that was part of their 2013 line.
This series of skateboards was created for Carhartt WIP. These graphics were screen printed on three progressing shapes, custom designed for this project, and each was packaged with a comic written and illustrated by James Callahan titled Summon the Snake Beast, and a series of stickers, also illustrated by Callahan.
